ABOUT US

We welcome you to Smokin Heights. We are a family team of mother and son. Melissa's love of Iris began over 30 years ago. Her love of this wonderful garden hardy plant has rubbed of onto her son. Over the past decade with the help of Bailey we are growing some of the newest iris including bearded iris available from Australia and Imported from Overseas. 

Our iris are grown and thrive in true Aussie garden conditions with water being used wisely.

We are excited to introduce our very own cultivars each season, as Bailey is an avid hybridizer focusing on broken, novelty and lined pattern iris. 

Mel is concentrating on dark coloured iris as well as the very distinct Aril Hybrids in her hybridizing ventures.

Our garden is open to the public throughout bloom season or by appointment. We can be found nestled between the beautiful Barossa and Clare Valley's, in our own garden paradise.
