1. General

These terms apply to all sales made through our website and catalogue.

By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Smokin Heights reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time without prior notice.

2. Minimum Order Value

A minimum order of $50.00 (excluding postage and handling) applies to all purchases.

Orders below this threshold will not be processed.

3. Product Guarantee

All plants are freshly dug and true to name.

If you are unhappy with your plants, please notify us within 10 days of receipt and we will replace them.

We are not responsible for plants lost due to negligence, unsuitable growing conditions, or poor aftercare once they are in your possession.

Mould on Plants: From time to time, plants may arrive with some surface mould due to transport conditions. Irises are hardy, and this does not usually harm the plant or affect performance. If you receive plants with mould, please contact us - these cases will be assessed individually, and remedies (replacement, refund, or care advice) will be provided at our discretion.

4. Product Availability and Substitutions

All products are subject to stock availability.

Substitutions are not usually necessary, but if they are required:

We will not substitute without your permission (indicate preference on order form).

Substitutions will always be of equal or greater value.

If ordering late in the season, we recommend providing a list of acceptable substitutes.

If you request no substitutions and an item is unavailable, a refund will be issued for that variety.

5. Pricing and Payment

All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST where applicable.

Payment must be made in full before orders are dispatched.

As some varieties sell out quickly, we recommend paying promptly to secure your selections.

We accept the following payment methods:

PayPal: We will send an invoice to your email address. You can pay securely without needing a PayPal account.

Credit Card: Visa, Mastercard, and AMEX are accepted. Provide details via the order form.

Direct Deposit: Bank details will be provided upon request.

Money Order: Payments via money order are accepted.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Our shipping season runs from December through to April. Orders placed outside of this period will be held until the next shipping season.

Orders are processed on a first come, first served basis.

Final order cut-off is 31st March, unless otherwise announced on our website or social media.

Combined Orders: Multiple orders placed by the same customer before dispatch may be combined into a single shipment. If additional postage is required, this must be paid before dispatch.

Shipping is by Express Post. Postage rates are:

SA, VIC, NSW, QLD:

1–10 rhizomes — $20.00

11–20 rhizomes — $27.50

21–40 rhizomes — $35.00

WA and TAS: $50 flat rate (includes phytosanitary certificate).

Large orders may be boxed and split into multiple parcels at cost.

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct shipping option for their state. Orders with incorrect postage may be delayed until the correct fee is paid.

Customers must provide a correct delivery address. Smokin Heights is not liable for parcels delayed, lost, or damaged once handed to Australia Post.

Please unpack orders immediately upon arrival.

7. Order Changes and Cancellations

Customers may request changes or cancellations within 7 days of placing an order.

After 7 days, orders are considered final and cannot be altered, as stock allocation and packing preparation may already be underway.

Any refunds due from cancellations will be processed via the original payment method.

8. Gift Vouchers and Promotions

Gift vouchers are available starting at $50.00.

Orders over $100.00 (excluding sale orders) will receive a complimentary gift plant. Gift plants (maximum of 5) are chosen by us, but suggestions are welcome.

9. Returns and Refunds

Due to the perishable and seasonal nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns for change of mind.

If an item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 10 days of receipt with photos of the issue.

Mouldy Plants: Because mould can sometimes occur during shipping and usually does not affect plant viability, these cases will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Remedies may include advice, partial refund, or replacement at our discretion.

Refunds or replacements will be handled in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Liability

Smokin Heights will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of our products once they have been delivered in good condition.

We make no guarantee of growth, performance, or outcomes of live plants once in the customer’s care.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, images, and designs, is the property of Smokin Heights and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of South Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia.
